Books → Art or Porn?

I have just acquired a copy of ‘Digital Diaries’, by Natacha Merritt (Taschen books, ISBN 3-8228-6398-X).
It is a visual diary of Natacha herself as she keeps a record of her sex life. I assume most of the photographs have been taken by her, either at arm’s length or on a timer, and subsequently I would describe most of them as ‘snaps’. Blurred, out of focus, amateur.
Yet calling it ‘art’ somehow makes you look at the images again, and I suppose if that’s the voyeuristic look that the photographer was after, then it’s mission accomplished. But whilst they are certainly thought provoking, sometimes erotic images, they are certainly NOT good photographs.

Vampires… nobody likes ‘em. They’ve got fangs, suck your blood and are generally nasty stuff. At least the ones I’ve seen on TCM are.
Now, lesbian vampires – yay! That’s more like it! They too have fangs and suck blood, but they do it to each other, which is fab!
